Paris, June 20, 2017 - Lion Air Group and Boeing announce their commitment to order 50 units of aircraft type 737 MAX 10, at Paris Air Show 2017. The value of the order reached US $ 6.24 billion.

"Lion Air Group became the first user in the world to operate the 737 MAX 8 and the first buyer of the Boeing 737 MAX 9. With a commitment to order 50 units of 737 MAX 10, we are back to the forefront of this, and help the launch of the latest version of Boeing 737 Generation, "said Lion Air Group President Director’s Edward Sirait.

Lion Air Group is one of the largest airlines of 737 Next Generation users in the world who have previously ordered 201 Boeing MAX units. It is also the first subscriber of the 737 MAX 9. Malindo Air, which is also a Lion Air Group’s Malaysian-based airline, became the first airline to receive and operate 737 MAX 8 in commercial services.

"Boeing is honored that the 737 plane continues to play an integral role in Lion Air Group's fleet and growth strategy. This commitment is a testament to the ability of the 737 MAX aircraft. We look forward to providing MAX 9 and MAX 10 for them in the coming years, "said Boeing Commercial Air planes & CEO Kevin McAllister.

Like other Boeing 737 MAX models, the MAX 10 incorporates the latest CFM International LEAP1B engine technology, advanced technology wings, Boeing Sky Interior, large flight deck displays, and other improvements to provide the highest passenger efficiency, reliability and comfort in a single aisle market. 737 MAX is best-selling aircraft in Boeing history. Boeing announces the most efficient new fuel outage in the civil aviation market.

Boeing tried to reclaim market share from Airbus as its competitor. "Today we are pleased to officially announce the newest member of the 737 family, MAX 10," Boeing Commercial Aviation Chief Division CEO Kevin McAllister said at the Paris Air Show in France on Monday (19/6).

According to him, the MAX 10 will be the largest of the updated 737 series and at the same time compete with the Airbus A320neo family. With the latest advances in engines and aerodynamics, Boeing promises significant fuel savings to airlines.

Boeing has also responded to hundreds of orders for a single aisle airline that has been their fleet. Airbus that focuses on medium flight now has 60 percent market share. The Boeing 737 MAX 10 can carry up to 230 passengers and is the largest in its class. McAllister said the MAX 10 would be the most efficient single aisle aircraft in the sky.
