First in the World, Boeing Submits 737 MAX 9 Prime to Lion Air Group

SEATTLE, March 21, 2018 - Boeing [NYSE: BA] and Lion Air Group today celebrated the first 737 MAX 9 HS-LSH registered in the world. Lion Air Group re-incised a milestone to become the first operator in the world. The aircraft will be operated by Thai Lion Air to strengthen the existing network as well as will launch several domestic, regional or international routes.

Lion Air Group is Boeing's first customer in the premiere of Boeing MAX 9. Group companies based in several Southeast Asian countries are also the first operators to add Boeing 737 MAX 8 into operational services.
Lion Air Group has also announced its commitment to bring in 50 Boeing 737 MAX 10. The airline group has an additional order of 1,273 MAX series aircraft, making Lion Air Group one of the largest operators in the world.

The Boeing 737 MAX 9 has a design configuration of up to 220 passenger seats and a maximum flight range of 3,550 nautical miles. With three additional seat rows from the development of the Boeing 737 MAX 8, the aircraft offers more seamless capability to maximize profitability in airline operations.
The Boeing MAX 737 family is designed to deliver exceptional performance to airlines, with lower operating costs per seat and wider flight range. This excellence opens a new era in the market of single aisle aircraft.
The Boeing 737 MAX incorporates the new LEAP-1B International CFM engine, a technologically advanced winglets, Boeing Sky Interior, large luggage compartment and other features to offer the efficiency, reliability and passenger comfort while traveling on single aisle aircraft .
Boeing 737 MAX is the fastest-selling aircraft in Boeing history, listing more than 4,300 orders from 95 customers worldwide.
