Supporting Government Program, Lion Air Group Build 1.000 Houses For Employees.
Jakarta, October 13, 2017 - Lion Air Group prepares to build housings for employees, especially to fulfilled the need of employees. Batam Aero Technic (BAT) is the center for aircraft repair and maintenance hangars (MRO) owned by Lion Air Group.
Lion Air Group President Director, Edward Sirait said, there will be around 1.000 units of houses that will be built at Batam City, Riau’s Island. Besides that, these constructions is also done to support one thousands housing program from the government.
Lion Air Group in collaboration with Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial (BPJS) employment, Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), and Sarana Global Utama to build housings. "we will provide around 1.000 unit of houses to fulfill the needs of our employees," he said at the first milestone at Lion Residence, Batam. Thursday (12/10).
According to Edward, these housing construction is not only for Batam Aero Technic’s employees, but also provided for all Lion Air Group’s employees who was on duty or domiciled in Batam.
Until now, there are around 1.020 employees who works in Batam Aero Technic. " It is also one of our efforts to continue to provide prosperity to employees."
Lion Air Group will build around 1.000 houses on land with the width of 88.329,57 square meter. The houses are divided into three types 30, 38 and 45 with subsidized price below Rp 150 million. For the price range Rp 150 million until Rp 500 million will be subject to tiered payments or installments with special interest rate of only 7.75 percent for 20 years.
The construction budget of this housing area reaches Rp 250 billion. Development completion target is about 18 months or 1.5 years.
"In the residential area, we will also build schools, supermarkets, facilities of worship, clinics, as well as bus transportation facilities to the workplace is also provided," said Edward.
Edward said, Lion Air Group hope these fasicilities can fulfill the needs of employees to have their own houses. Lion Residence located at Jalan Hang Jebat, Kelurahan Batu Besar, Kecamatan Nongsa.
Housing’s access is near to Hang Nadim International Airport, Batam almost 3 kilometers from hangar. This will certainly provide efficiency mileage to the workplace.
After Batam, said Edward, Lion Air Group is planning to build housing at Lebak, Banten. "We will build 10 thousands unit of houses for employees at Lebak. We also plan to build an airport there as second airport at Banten,"he said.
In addition they will also build housing area at Surabaya, Makassar, Medan and Manado. The total of Lion Air Group’s employees in that area is really high.
