Updates of Flight JT 610, Route Soekarno-Hatta, Tangerang to Pangkalpinang Handling
JAKARTA - 1 November 2018. Lion Air (flight code JT) member of Lion Air Group updated on the handling of Lion Air flight JT-610, that Lion Air has received confirmation from BASARAS (National Search & Rescue Body) at 19:00 WIB that nine body bags are added and make-up to 65 bags in total. As at 31 October, eight bags have been received on that day and 24 bags on 29 and 30 October 2018 respectively.
The nine additional body bags will be handed over to Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta for the identification process.
The process of disaster victim identification at the Police Hospital is on-going with the family members of affected passengers and crew.
Lion Air also received confirmation from BASARAS regarding one of the black boxes from the aircraft has been found and surrendered to National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT).
At the moment, Lion Air's family assistance at every post for JT-610 is on-going.
The representatives of Lion Air management was also at post Cawang, Post Police Hospital, East Jakarta and Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta today, to give morale support to the family members of the passengers, crew and the evacuation team.
The search of all passengers, crew and flight JT610 that was crashed on 29 October in the sea of Karawang, West Jawa is on-going.
