Updates of flight JT 610, Route Tangerang to Pangkalpinang handling

Jakarta - 30 October 2018. Lion Air (flight code JT) member of Lion Air Group updated on 29 October that BASARAS (National Search & Rescue Body) has confirmed there are 24 body bags. That has been taken to Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta.

Some of the family members of affected passengers and crew has arrived at the Police Hospital for disaster victim identification.

The handling of JT-610 by Lion Air has flown 168 people of the affected families of passengers and crew from Pangkalpinang, Bangka; 3 from Medan, North Sumatera; 2 from Padang, West Sumatera; 4 from Yogyakarta; 2 from Madiun, East Jawa and 4 others from Demak, Central Jawa.

At the moment, Lion Air is prepared and has started family assistance at the main post for JT-610.

Lion Air management will also be visiting the post in Halim Perdanakusuma, Police Hospital, Karawang and Tanjung Priok.

The evacuation of all passengers, crew and flight JT610 that was crashed on 29 October in the sea of Karawang, West Jawa is on-going.

The airline is very concerned about the incident and will continue to render their co-operations to all parties concerned to provide firsthand information with relates to the status of affected passengers and crew.  It is with the hope that the families of the passengers and crew will have the strength and fortitude to go through this challenging time and the Search and Rescue (SAR) officers' operations to go smoothly.

Lion Air has opened the crisis center and Passengers Information phone line (021)-80820002 to support to incident.
