BALIKPAPAN – August 31, 2021. Lion Air (JT flight code), Wings Air (IW flight code), Batik Air (ID flight code) members of Lion Air Group convey the latest information, provision of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) health tests Reverse transcription-polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) has been extending to cover the areas of East Kalimantan in Balikpapan, Berau and Samarinda, and South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin.

The addition of 5 (five) health facilities for sampling is a partnership with E-Tirta Medical Center (TMC). Special RT-PCR testing (examination) of centralized samples in; C.188 Laboratory Tirta Medical Centre Balikpapan, C.121 Laboratory Tirta Medical Centre Berau, and C.252 Laboratory Tirta Medical Centre Banjarmasin that has been registered in New-All Record (NAR) and affiliated in the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia.

Lion Air Group offers affordable vouchers: Rp 380,000 Reverse transcription-polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). Effectively began serving Wednesday (01/09) with the following health test locations:

1. TMC Balikpapan (RT-PCR only)

Lion Air Group's RT-PCR requirements with health facilities, as follows:

1. Especially prospective passengers who have tickets on Lion Air Group flights (Lion Air, Wings Air, and Batik Air),

Ticket purchases (issued tickets) and air travel information can obtain through Lion Air Group Head Office and Ticketing Town Offices in all cities in Indonesia; www.lionair.co.id; www.batikair.com; Lion Air and Batik Air smartphone applications (mobile apps). (you can also purchase Wings Air tickets through the website and the application); Call center 021-6379 8000 and 0804-177-8899; travel agent partners (tour travel) and online travel agents (OTA).

2. Voucher RT-PCR can be obtained directly at the time of purchase of tickets (issued tickets),

3. For prospective passengers who already have Lion Air Group air tickets and have not implemented RT-PCR, the purchase of RT-PCR vouchers 30 hours before departure by showing the booking code through sales channels such as call centers, Lion Air Group sales offices, www.lionair.co.id, www.batikair.com, travel agents (tour and travel) and others.

4. For prospective passengers who do not have a voucher, they can do a medical test at the health facility network by showing a valid ticket and official identity. Payments can be payable directly to the health facility.

5The RT-PCR sampling process should be carried out 1x24 hours before departure. If sampling is close to the scheduled departure (less than 24 hours before departure), the voucher is not valid.

6. If the test result is positive (+) Covid-19, the prospective passenger submits the process of changing the departure schedule (rescheduling) or refunding the ticket (refund) without being charged.

  2. Kalimarau Airport in Berau (JSX),
  3. Aji Prince Tumenggung Pranoto International Airport in Samarinda (AAP), and
  4. Syamsudin Noor International Airport Banjarmasin in Banjarbaru (BDJ)

Before departure: prospective passengers expecting to download (download) and register (fill out) the PeduliLindung application via their respective smartphones from the Google Play Store or Apple Store or accessing at https://pedulilindungi.id/. This application will store and show (integrated) digital (electronic) data from each prospective passenger in the form of:

  1. The results of the Covid-19 RT-PCR examination
  2. National vaccination card/certificate. 

Lion Air Group and cooperation faskes support government programs to control the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19), as well as part of efforts, ensure the security and any passengers in traveling by airplane has met the conditions set.

RT-PCR facilities will provide more value as a solution for prospective passengers strategically located in various cities in Indonesia. Lion Air Group is developing and preparing health testing networks in Padang, Semarang, Pontianak, Yogyakarta, Malang, Palembang, and other cities.

Well Maintained Air Circulation System

The entire fleet has equipped with a high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter or strong particle filtration. HEPA filters help maintain air hygiene in the cabin and filter out more than 99.9% of viruses, germs, insects, and bacteria. The air in the aircraft cabin is updated every 2-3 minutes, making it fresher. Air cycle from the toilet (lavatory) and a kitchen (galley) directly flowed out of the plane.

The improvement of Lion Air Group's aircraft hygiene and sterilization activities periodically with aircraft exterior and interior cleaning (AEIC) method is carried out in Batam Aero Technic (BAT) aircraft maintenance center and at various airport base stations where Lion Air Group aircraft located.
