J A K A R T A, December 25, 2023- Lion Group, reminds to the loyal customers who are pregnant to meet the special flying requirements. This requirement aims to ensure the safety and comfort of pregnant women and future babies during air travel with Lion Group.

Special flying requirements for pregnant women that must be met:
- Pregnant women should notify the condition of pregnancy to the check-in counter staff when reporting.
- Pregnant women are obliged to carry a doctor’s letter stating that “healthy” pregnant women are worthy (safe) to board an airplane. The doctor's letter is valid for 7 (seven) days from the time of manufacture to the time of departure.
- Pregnant women with a pregnancy age up to 28 weeks (less than 28 weeks) are allowed to fly without any prohibition.
- Pregnant women between 28-35 weeks are allowed to fly on condition of approval from a doctor at least seven (7) days before departure.
- Pregnant women with twin pregnancies are allowed to fly only until the age of pregnancy before the end of 31 weeks.
- Pregnant women with a pregnancy age of more than 35 weeks are not allowed to make a flight.
- Pregnant women with special pregnancy are not allowed to fly.
- Pregnant women who meet the flying criteria of Lion Group are obliged to fill out a statement letter (Medical Information Form) provided by the airline.
Special Flying requirements for pregnant women apply to all airlines under the auspices of Lion Group, namely Lion Air, Wings Air, Batik Air, Batik Air Malaysia and Thai Lion Air. These requirements are in accordance with international standards issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Directorate General of Air Transportation, the Ministry of Transportation of Indonesia.
Lion Group urges pregnant women to consult with their obstetricians when planning a trip (before flying), for safety and health factors.
Lion Group advises pregnant women, if it is declared healthy and safe to travel by plane, to choose comfortable seats, to use seat belts, drink enough water, and to move regularly during flight.
