Lion Group Luggage Policy: Practical, Safe and Comfortable for All Passengers
Terms for Baggage that exceeds the size or specific type
J A K A R T A – November 10, 2024. Lion Group released a new policy on the terms of size and type of baggage that can be carried for free (FBA) to ensure the comfort and safety of travel for all passengers.
Passengers must pay attention to the size, shape and weight of the baggage to keep up to the standard set, which is a maximum dimension of 35 x 35 x 30 cm. Here are some categories of baggage that are not included in the FBA, if it exceeds the size:
1. Cardboard-shaped baggage
2. Styrofoam-shaped baggage
3. Wooden pallet-shaped baggage
4. Baggage-shaped baggage (weight more than 10 kg)
If passenger baggage falls into one of the above categories and exceeds the size or weight of the provision, then from December 01, 2024, there is an additional baggage rate or Excess Baggage Ticket (EBT) when reporting to the check in officer, with a minimum payment of 5 kg or can choose the freight delivery option via cargo service before D day flight departure schedule.

Limiting the maximum size of the baggage at 35 x 35 x 30 cm, Lion Group can maintain the stability of the goods in the luggage space of the aircraft. Luggage types such as cardboard, styrofoam, wooden pallets, and sacks are potentially higher for damaged or leaked during handling, thus potentially potentially risk damage to other luggage or luggage space hygiene. Under this rule, each item is arranged more securely and neatly, minimizing the risk of damage and ensuring the safety of all passenger goods.

Uniform size and type of baggage will help facilitate passengers and staff in the checking and luggage arrangement process. These provisions also prevent passengers from discomfort due to longer handling of baggage and ensure the flight schedule remains on time. Each aircraft has limited luggage capacity, and these provisions aim to ensure that all passengers get equal rights in carrying their goods.
