Safety Before, During, and After Your Flight Starts with You! Keep Your Valuables Secure in the Aircraft Cabin
Lion Group values customers’ cooperation in ensuring a smooth and safe flight. By adhering to regulations regarding valuable items—whether financial or personal—passengers contribute to a secure and comfortable travel experience for everyone.
.
JAKARTA, February 9, 2025 – Lion Group is committed to enhancing flight safety and comfort for all passengers. Therefore, "All Passengers Must Store Their Valuables in the Cabin Baggage" and not in checked baggage (the luggage registered during check-in). For security and convenience, safeguarding valuables is a wise step to prevent unwanted risks. By carrying valuables in the cabin, passengers can keep their belongings under personal supervision, ensuring peace of mind throughout the flight.
Valuable Items That Must Be Stored in Cabin Baggage
Valuables—whether financially valuable or personally significant—must be kept in cabin baggage and should not be placed in checked baggage. These include:
- Important documents such as passports, tickets, identification cards, travel documents, and other essential paperwork.
- Electronic devices including laptops, cameras, tablets, mobile phones, and similar items.
- Cash, credit cards, and jewelry such as gold, diamonds, and other valuable assets.
- Personal medications, especially those required during the flight.
- Items of sentimental value, such as heirlooms or precious gifts.
Passenger Responsibilities in Securing Valuables
Passengers should follow these three important steps to ensure their valuables remain safe:
- [Before the Flight] Make sure all valuables (such as documents, electronics, or jewelry) are placed in your cabin bag and not left behind at check-in counters or waiting areas.
- [During the Flight] Store valuables securely in overhead compartments or under the seat in front of you. Never leave them unattended.
- [After the Flight] Immediately check your valuables before leaving the aircraft to ensure nothing is lost or forgotten.
Why Valuables Should Not Be Stored in Checked Baggage
1. Security and Supervision By keeping valuables in the cabin, passengers can directly monitor their belongings. Checked baggage is not accessible to passengers during the flight.
2. Airline Policy and Item Protection Lion Group is not responsible for lost or damaged valuables stored in checked baggage. To ensure passenger safety and convenience, we strongly recommend that all valuables be kept in the cabin.
3. Risk of Loss or Damage Checked baggage undergoes handling at the airport, including transfers between conveyor belts and the aircraft. This process increases the risk of baggage being misplaced, left behind, or damaged.
4. Compliance and Shared Safety As part of the check-in process, airline staff will ask passengers if they have valuables in their checked baggage. Passengers must provide accurate information and ensure all valuables are brought into the cabin.
We appreciate the cooperation of all passengers in maintaining smooth flight operations and aviation security. By following these guidelines, every passenger contributes to a safe and comfortable travel experience for all.
