Lion Air Open New Route from Palangkaraya to Makassar, Bali and Lombok

PALANGKARAYA, February 17, 2025 – Lion Air continues to expand air connectivity by introducing new routes linking Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, to three strategic destinations in Indonesia: Makassar, Bali, and Lombok. To facilitate travel, customers can use the BookCabin app to book tickets, check-in online, and become CabinClubmembers for exclusive offers.
Flights from Tjilik Riwut Airport, Palangkaraya (PKY) will connect directly to:
- Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Makassar (UPG)
- I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali (DPS)
- Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, Lombok (LOP)
Lion Air will operate these flights using modern-generation aircraft: Boeing 737-800NG (189 economy class seats) and Boeing 737-900ER (215 economy class seats).
As the capital of Central Kalimantan, Palangkaraya has significant potential in economic, tourism, and trade sectors. This new route is expected to serve as a catalyst for connecting Central Kalimantan with other economic and tourism hubs in Indonesia.
