Lion Air sign memorandum of understanding with the Indonesian national police.

Lion Air signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Indonesian National Police (POLRI). The event was held at Discovery Hotel Ancol, Jakarta and it was attended by Chief of Police General Drs. Sutarman along with the high ranking officers and President Director of Lion Group along with the Lion Group’s Directors.
The cooperation between Lion Air and the Indonesian National Police is in order to transport and mobilized police personnel.
"We have been serving the Indonesian National Police since 2009 to fly the Police Personnel from one region to another. Cooperation is then tied in an agreement in 2011 with a period of 3 (three) years and ended in 2014", said Rusdi Kirana .
"Since 2009, Lion Air have flown total of 33.000 Police Personnel under168 mission with destination of 28 cities", he added.
Currently Lion Group has a total of 189 aircraft consisting of 127 aircraft of type Boeing 737, two Boeing 747, 38 ATR, 2 Hawkers and 20 Hawker Cessnas.
Lion Group flights routes are from Sabang to Merauke with 80 domestic routes and 16 international routes and serve 720 flights per day which transport about 116,000 passengers per day.
"We are very pleased and proud to serve the Indonesian National Police, especially in mobilization of Police Personnel to ensure the safety of our Homeland. Hopefully the MOU that we signed today will add value for the Indonesian National Police and for our Nation", said Rusdi Kirana.
