Wings Air opens new flight route linking Jayapura and Wamena

Lion Group through its subsidiary airline company, Wings Air opens new flight route linking Lombok and Sumbawa Besar.

For its first flight, Wings Air will operate once a day. Departure flight from Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 10:40 local time and arrive at Wamena Airport at 11:40 WIT and will stay overnight in Wamena. On September 18 2014 Wings Air will operate twice a day. For the first departure from Wamena airport at 06.15 WIT and arrive at Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 7:15 pm WIT and the second flight departing from Wamena airport at 09:10 WIT and arrive at Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 10.10 WIT. 

Wings Air will be using ATR 72-500 / 600 which has a seating capacity of 72 seats. 

Then on September 22, 2014 will serve this route three flights a day. Departure from Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 7:45 WIT and arrive at Wamena Airport at 08:45 WIT. Then the second flight is schedule from Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 10:40 WIT and arrive at Wamena Airport at 11:40 WIT. The third flight will depart from Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 14:45 WIT and arrive at Wamena Airport at 15:45 WIT.

For the departure from Wamena airport at 06.15 WIT and arrived at Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 7:15 pm WIT. Then the second flight departing from Wamena airport at 09:10 WIT and arrived at Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 10.10 WIT. Then the third flight departing from the Wamena airport at 12:05 WIT and arrive at Sentani Airport, Jayapura at 13:05 pm WIT. 

Wings Air Passengers can easily connect flights from Jayapura to various destinations in Indonesia by using Lion Group Airlines such as Lion Air and Batik Air.

Currently Wings Air has a total of 29 ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600 and will continue to open new routes, especially in Eastern and Middle part of Indonesia that can only be landed with small bodied airplane. 

"In the near future, Wings Air will open a new route which is Palu - Sitoli-Toli and NTB. For NTT, Wings Air will open a route from Lombok - Bima and also Kupang - Larantuka," said Director of Operations for Wings Air Captain Redi Irawan
