WINGS AIR STRENGTHEN ACCESS IN NORTH SUMATRA

To improve services of flights network connectivity in North Sumatra, Lion Air Group and Wings Air will soon open several new routes, from Batam through Hang Nadim International Airport, to Dumai through Pinang Kampai Airport, proceed to Medan through Kualanamu International Airport round-trip.

These airlines operated using aircraft type ATR 72-500 / 600 will fly once per day per 10 November 2016, with this following schedule,

"Development of the new route is one of our business expansion in improving service and convenience for people to travel by air in the area of North Sumatra especially Batam and surrounding areas. Now with the opening of several new access we hope to assist the mobility of Batam citizens to travel or business travel. so that these areas will be growing in the economic aspects, "said Edward Sirait, President Director of Lion Air Group.

The trip from Batam to Dumai be reached by approximately 1 hour 5 minutes. While Dumai to Batam will be taken approximately 1 hour 5 minutes using aircraft type ATR 72-500 / 600 which have a capacity of 72 seats in economy class.

Up to now, Wings Air operate 51 fleet with the type ATR 72-500 / 600 operating to 80 destinations from the network connectivity of Wings Air itself, with a total of 267 flights per day.
